Spillane Shaeffer Aronoff Bandlow LLP understands the unique world of government contracting and the mandated specifications that contractors must conform to in order to do business with the federal government. Our recent focus has been on efforts to introduce more responsibility in the contracting process so that contractors benefit from the efficient administration of contracts.
We are also well-versed in the regulatory schemes governing the energy industry. Over the past several decades both federal and state agencies emphasized deregulation, believing that competition would better serve the public interest in having sufficient energy supplies at the fairest prices. As certain deregulatory efforts have been implemented, others have remained stagnant, resulting in inconsistencies between regulatory schemes. For example, it is difficult for agencies to police a competitive market when their policing powers were created to oversee and check historic monopolies.
Our creative thinking motivates us to pursue representation of companies in regulated industries because we believe that we can provide clients with value-added service in a changing business environment. We do our best work where there exists uncertainty in an industry and the laws governing that industry.
